2008 CEA Championship Show

Throughout the 2008 show year (October 2007 through September 2008), equine/rider pairs will become eligible to enter the championship classes at the Championship Show by placing 1st through 6th in any qualifying class of the same name/skill level/height as the championship class they wished to enter, in at least two (2) separate CEA recognized shows held throughout the show year.  If an equine/rider pair has not qualified for the championship classes before the cutoff date, they will not be eligible to enter the championship classes themselves at the Championship Show.  However, they can still participate in the rest of the show which will be a qualifier for the 2009 show year and championships.

You do not need to be a member of the CEA to qualify for the championship classes at the Championship Show. We invite everyone to participate in this exciting event, even if you do not qualify for the championship classes themselves.

The 2008 Hunter/Jumper and Dressage Championship Shows will be held at Cottonwood Farms Sport Horses in Boardman, Oregon.  We are still searching for a location to hold the 2008 Open (flat) portion of the Championship Show.  The 2008 Championship Show will consist of the following schedule:

bullet

Hunters (open entry and championship classes) - October 4th, 2008 at Cottonwood Farms

bullet

Jumpers (open entry and championship classes) - October 5th, 2008 at Cottonwood Farms

bullet

Dressage (open entry and championship classes) - October 5th, 2008 at Cottonwood Farms

bullet

Open Show (open entry and championship classes) - October 11th, 2008 at TBA

The cutoff date for qualifications for all championship classes at the above shows will be September 28th, 2008.  After that date, if you have not qualified, you may only participate in the open entry classes at these shows.

2008 News

The July 19 Open Show at Cottonwood Farms has been rescheduled for May 17th.

Schedules and entry forms have been posted for the Chinook H/J/D Series of shows as well as 4 open shows.  Online Registration is open for all of them.

We are still waiting to hear from other show hosts to see if they are going to request CEA recognition.  If you want a show to be recognized, please express your desires to the management of those shows.  Without telling them that you want the shows to be recognized, they may not see a need to request CEA recognition.
